Michelle Broughton Nat. Dip Diag Rad (SA); Cert in Ultrasound (SA).
A well-known and trusted figure in the veterinary industry in South Africa, Michelle has been providing imaging solutions through Sonorite to veterinary customers for the past 17 years. Michelle worked as a human ultrasonographer from the time she qualified until entering the human ultrasound industry as an application specialist and in sales. On noticing a need in the South African marketplace for veterinary-specific ultrasound solutions, Sonorite was born. Sonorite has been the exclusive distributor for BCF Technology / IMV imaging products in Southern Africa since 2006, growing through all the advances that diagnostic imaging has come to offer.
With a wealth of experience, Michelle is dedicated to providing the best imaging solutions for individual requirements which, with her passionate commitment to after-sales service, sets her apart in the industry.
Kirstin Dinham BVSc, CertAVP MRCVS.
A qualified small animal veterinarian, Kirstin also has years of experience in the diagnostic imaging industry, in sales, applications and education and has trained hundreds of South African veterinarians through the well-loved IMV Academy ultrasound courses. Kirstin has completed hundreds of hours of CPD in small animal ultrasound including a Certificate in Advanced Practice through the University of Liverpool.
Early on in her career Kirstin discovered the huge differences in the standard of care veterinary professionals were able to provide their patients by developing confidence in ultrasound. Sharing this with colleagues and seeing the difference good equipment and training can make to the well-being of animal patients is a constant motivator in her work.
Between her work with Sonorite, Kirstin fulfills her passion for diagnostic ultrasound by offering first-opinion mobile ultrasound services in Johannesburg and surrounds through her company Vetsonography.
Chris van Wyk Dip(ElecEng).
Chris van Wyk is a seasoned clinical field service engineer with over 30 years of experience specializing in the repair, maintenance, and technical support of diagnostic imaging equipment, including ultrasound (sonar) and X-ray systems.
Throughout his career, Chris has worked closely with both veterinary and medical professionals, ensuring that critical diagnostic tools remain safe, accurate, and fully operational. Chris is also an active member of CEASA—the Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa. His involvement with CEASA reflects a passion for continuous professional development and excellence in healthcare engineering.
Known for his hands-on approach, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset, Chris helps our customers with their repairs and maintenance, as well as offering valuable guidance on the proper care and operation of equipment to help extend its life and performance.
